Our Story

The Riddims Marketing story is the tale of founding partner Jamaican-born Eddy Edwards, who in 1984 pursued his dream and started “Caribbean Rhythms” radio show on WVCG 1080 AM to provide entertainment, news and information to a growing South Florida Caribbean community.

Rhythms Marketing was initially established as the corporation to handle the advertisers on the radio show. Eddy very quickly moved into event production, staging some of the biggest events, attracting sold-out audiences such as the Jamaica Awareness Day Festival at Bicentennial Park and Oliver Samuels plays at the Gusman Theater.

As the Caribbean community in South Florida grew, Eddy rebranded Rhythms Marketing to Riddims Marketing. Under this new brand, he continued creating and developing events, as well as servicing other corporate organizations and government institutions, providing successful solutions to marketing and communications needs.

To support this growth, Bridget Provost-Edwards joined the company in 2010, expanding her role from part-time to full-time, providing support in administration and project management.

Today, Riddims Marketing is recognized as one of the top marketing and production companies serving Caribbean diaspora markets in the U.S.

Along with the marketing and public relations services, the company’s portfolio includes the Caribbean Riddims radio show, De Riddim Box (monthly e-newsletter) Weekend Update (weekly e-newsletter) and CaribbeanRiddims.com, a website for news and information. Plus, we’re a Certified Small Business Enterprise (Broward County) and a Certified Digital Marketer (BizHack Academy).
